Portsmouth City Schools postponed the September 24th Rock Hill Middle School 7th grade football game at Portsmouth due to forecasted severe weather. The game has been rescheduled for play next Tuesday at Portsmouth.
The Rock Hill Youth Cheerleaders will be hosting the Homecoming dance tomorrow, September 21st. The dance will take place in the Elementary Gymnasium. All students must be signed in and out of the front entrance of the elementary school. Pre-K- 2nd will be held from 5pm- 6:30 and grades 3-6 will be 7-8:30. Admission is $5 and concessions are available.
During the dance the cheerleaders will also be having a pulled pork dinner fundraiser in the cafeteria, available for the community to dine in or take to go for $12 each meal.
Due to the high school's makeup soccer match, Rock Hill Middle School will begin its homecoming football game against Gallipolis at 8:00 pm this Thursday at Redmen Stadium.
We wanted to follow up to make sure everyone is aware that the middle school football game against Ironton has been cancelled for the season.

Due to the heat index, the Rock Hill Middle School Soccer match at Fairland this evening will begin at 7:00 pm. Also, the middle school football game at Minford tomorrow, August 29th, will be moved to 7:00 pm. due to the heat index.
Parents. We will be running two bus routes in the morning with the first starting around 4:30 a.m. depending on where you live. Your bus driver will let you know what time they will be there this evening, when being dropped off. The second route will run on normal schedule. All elementary will be on the second route as well as any high school or middle school student who did not go to Fired up Friday. There will only be one route in the afternoon. All schools will be dismissing at 12:30 p.m.
If you have an elementary student who is a parent pickup they will need picked up at 12:00 p.m.
All middle school students attending Fired up Friday will be shuttled back to the middle school immediately after it is over.
Our students are very excited for tomorrow, and we hope to see a big turn out from our community.
Open House will be Monday August 12th from 5:30 to 7:30.
We will have hot dogs, chips and ice cream offered in the high school outdoor classroom area at 4:30 p.m. . Please come out and joins us
The Rock Hill LSD Board of Education will have its regular monthly meeting Tuesday August 13, 2024 @ 6:00 p.m. at the Board of Education offices. This meeting was scheduled for August 15, 2024.

Soccer pictures will take place at 4:00pm, Football pictures will take place at 5:00 pm, and Volleyball pictures will take place at 6:00 pm at the middle school. The date for cheerleading will be communicated through Jennifer Besco. Forms for media day can be picked up at the middle school office.

The Rock Hill Youth Recreation League will have its final signup for football this Saturday, July 13th from 10 a.m. till 12 p.m. This will also be uniform and equipment fittings. For more information contact the Recreation League on its Facebook Page.
This is a reminder that High School Football practice begins this evening at 6:00 p.m..
Players must have a current physical and be at the football locker room to be fitted for their helmet and cleats by 5:15.
