Just a reminder to guardians that report cards went out this past Friday. If your child did not pick up theirs, they need to get his or hers from their homeroom teacher as soon as possible.

Rock Hill National Little League will be hosting the 2022 Halloween dance at the Rock Hill Elementary School Gymnasium Saturday, October 22nd from 6p.m. to 8p.m. The dance is for all Rock Hill Elementary School students K through 5 grade. Please wear your Halloween costumes as their will be a costume contest with awards. We will offer concession and a spooky bake sell. Admission is $5 per child.
There will be no After School Program Monday, October 17, 2022 through Thursday, October 20, 2022.
The Program will resume on Monday, October 24, 2022.
Rock Hill Local Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay today 10/12/22 due to a water issue.
The Rock Hill Local School District Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 3:00 pm October 12, 2022 at the RHHS cafeteria to discuss options concerning athletic conferences and any other business the board considers necessary to transact.

The Personal Attendant will be provided with paid crisis prevention training before working with students.
Substitute Educational Aides are paid $13/ hour. Personal Attendants are paid $15/ hour.

The Rock Hill Local School District Board of Education will hold a special meeting on September 29, 2022 at 7:00 am at the Board of Education offices to meet with Collier Construction and discuss and possibly act on any other business the board may consider necessary to transact.
Rock hill elementary PTO would like to remind anyone who has not turned in their cookie Dough order, to please do so tomorrow Wednesday September 28th. It will be the last day to turn in.
Rock Hill Middle School will be hosting its homecoming dance this Saturday, September 24th from 8:00 p m to 10:00 p m. Those middle school students who do not attend school this Friday must have a sanctioned written excuse in order to be eligible to participate at this Saturday’s middle school dance or be present at least half the school day. Parents or a responsible adult must sign in his or her child at the beginning and sign out his or her child at the conclusion of the dance. For safety reasons, no one is permitted inside the building except for designated personnel or approved chaperones. Signing in and signing out students will occur under the main entrance canopy of the school.
Rock Hill Elementary Homecoming dance will take place Saturday, September 24th from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m in the elementary gymnasium. Students in grades 3rd through 6th may attend and must be signed in and out at the door. Admission is $5.00 and concession will be available. Gold Studio will be present to offer photography services for purchase. Photo sessions will begin at 5:30.

To All Pre School and Elementary Parents:
Beginning Monday, September 12th, 2022, all buses will begin loading at the front of the building. As a result, there will be a few changes in the pick up procedures for a couple of our grade levels. Kindergarten pick ups will now be held at the pre school entrance and the third grade pick ups will occur at the third grade door that leads to the black top area where the basketball goals are located. All M. C. bus pick ups will take place at the pre school entrance. All other grade level pick ups will remain the same. All parents picking up students MUST be off the parking lot no later than 2:30 p.m.

Effective today, Pre school dismissal for parent Pre K will begin at 2:00 p.m..
All Kindergarten through 5th grade parent pick ups will begin at 2:15 due to bus loading changes the district is implementing to help improve efficiency.
The pick up times are changing to allow sufficient time for the front parking lot to be cleared of all student pick up traffic. Buses will now load at the front of the building in the bus parking area beginning at 2:30 p.m.
Bus unloading and student drop off for the morning will not change.

Hello this is Mr. Hopper,
I just want to send out a brief message to clarify events of today at Rock Hill. We were asked by law enforcement to go on a heightened alert status due to an incident involving a shooting that occurred within our school district toward one of our teachers on State Route 93 at the old middle school on her way to work. Thankfully no one was injured. We went on a soft lockdown in all buildings as a precautionary measure until the suspect was apprehended this afternoon. At no time were any staff or students in any danger as a result.
