NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
Induction into the National Junior Honor Society occurs at the end of a student's seventh-grade year. The requirement is a GPA of 95% for their sixth-grade year and the first semester of their seventh-grade year. Since we are an academic society, this average is determined from core subject classes only. Parents are customarily contacted late-April of their child's eligibility, and induction is usually held in mid-May. Students inducted become active members during their eighth-grade year.

QUIZ BOWL
The Quiz Bowl Team is open to any RHMS student and is a group of students that competes against schools in Ohio in academic challenges. We participate against other Lawrence County schools and in several matches during the year, including a tournament hosted by Lawrence County ESC in January. Mrs. Trena Haynes serves as the team’s advisor.
